Mountain Top

Northside, St. Thomas

Up on the top of St. Peter's Mountain, the second point peak of St. Thomas, you'll find the aptly name Mountain Top - home of the world famous banana daiquiri. This might seems like a tourist trap at first glance... and it is, but it is also gives you the most spectacular view of the northside of St. Thomas. Out on the balcony while enjoying your daiquiri you can see Magens Bay in all its glory laid out beneath you. Here you can see all the beaches within the bay including Platform and Little Magens.

Along with Magens Bay you can see a number of islands in the distance. The closest one is Hans Lollik, which is part of The USVI. In the distance you can see several British Virgin Islands such as Great and Little Tobago, Jost Van Dyke, and Tortolla. If it's a clear day you can also see St. John just over the ridge of the mountain on the far right. If you're visiting St. Thomas via a cruise ship then this is definitely a view you'll want to see if you've had enough of the beaches. If you're staying on island for more than a day I'd recommend trying to time your visit for when no cruise ships are in - you'll likely have the whole view to yourself!
