Caneel Hawksnest Beach

North Shore, St. John
Caneel Hawksnest Beach is the beach that was too late in being names to take on either of the names that are Frankensteined to create it. It is named for it's location on both the western shore of Hawksnest Bay (water) and Caneel Bay (resort on the land), making it kind of a surf and terf beach. Caneel Bay resort was damaged in the 2017 hurricanes so there are rarely any people on this beach as it is away from the small portion of the resort that is open. The location within Caneel Bay resort limits the options of getting to this beach to either swimming or kayaking. The swim isn't too far from Hawksnest and if you want to make an adventure out of it you can stop at Little Hawksnest on the way.
