Maho Bay Beach

North Shore, St. John

Maho is one of the crown beaches of St. John in the Virgin Islands National Park. It is a beautiful, long, thing strip of white sand on the northside of the island, nestled within Maho Bay. The waters here are extremely calm due to Mary Point blocking most of the waves and wind comming from the east. This makes Maho a nice place to float on your back and enjoy the Carribean sun.

Other than enjoying a nice beverage and sitting in the sand you can also engage in other fun activities at the beach. There is a rental shop where you can get water sports activites like kayaks and paddle boards to explore the surrounding bay. You can also snorkel with the better snorkeling being on the far left and right sides where the reefs lie. You can also easily swim around Maho point on the right side of the beach to arrive at Little Maho Beach and further at Francis Bay Beach! There is also food available at the various food trucks in the area behind the beach and a bar for all your drink needs!
