Drunk Bay Beach

Southside, St. John

Drunk with a sense of adventure I walked across Salt Pond Beach towards the south, coming across a fork in the road with a sign presenting two options. To the right is Ram Head, nearly a mile walk. Straight ahead is Drunk Bay, only a quarter of a mile. It's an easy choice, I go straight so I don't have to bother turning.

The trail comes to a huge salt pond with a narrow sandy shore running all around it. There's a white bird just hanging out in the water on the far side. I continue on the trail, stumbling and bumbling like the spanish wasps all around. There's some slight turns in the trail, but they're no match for me. The wind starts whipping harded and harded as I come to the end of the trial. I know this is it. Drunk Bay is upon me.

The waves are rough over here as the wind comes rushing across the water with no mountains to lessen it's strength. Drunk Bay is a rocky beach, which mellows out a bit more towards the norther section. Go on and explore it for yourself. If you're already visiting the ever-popular Salt Pond Beach, then Drunk Bay is a fun side trek to make for an adventure filled day. Thanks for reading :)
