Trunk Bay Beach
North Shore, St. John
Part of the Virgin Islands National Park, this is a must-see beach on St. John. The National Park Service lists a $5 daily fee per person ages 16 and up; children under 16 are free. Since October 1, 2026, Trunk Bay accepts credit/debit cards and mobile payments only; cash is not accepted. There are plenty of amenities making it the best bang for your buck. There are restrooms and showers, as well as snorkel and chair rentals, a beach bar, and a restaurant. Their beach bar gives drinks in metal cups to return at the end of the day, or you can buy one! This is the Caribbean beach of your dreams with the softest sand and bluest waters. There is an underwater snorkel tour around the rock that educates you on the marine life you see.
