Mermaid Beach
East End, St. Croix
One of three beaches within the grounds of the Buccaneer Resort, Mermaid beach is a great spot to enjoy a day in the sun. Located just outside of the town of Christainsted Mermaid beach is accessible to the public via the parking lot jsut before the resort gaurd gate. You can park in the lot and then walk along the path towards the shoreline where you'll find Mermaid beach. Mermaid beach is sandwhiched between the two other beaches within the resort: Grotto Beach to the left and Whistle Beach to the right. Out of the three beaches Mermaid is the most setup with accomodations. If you're not staying at the resort this might not be the beach your you since all of the chairs are only for people staying there, which takes up a lot of the space. But if you want to stay it is within your rights as USVI law states that all beaches are public property!
