Dorsch Beach

West End, St. Croix
Dorsch (or Sand Castle) beach is located on the west end of St. Croix. The beach here has some nice width and a gentle slope down into the water. People really like swimming here since the water is extremely calm due since the currents coming from the east are blocked by the island. The beach is in a really cool position situated with the city of Frederiksted to the north and the world famous Sandy Point to the south. This makes Dorsch beach the perfect place to park if you're looking to take long walks as you can walk all the way to the very end of Sandy Point and all the way into town if you want! Dorsch is a cool spot to setup during cruise ship season as you can watch them come into port at Frederiksted.
